Online Teaching Young Learners TEFL Course

Our Teaching Young Learners course can be taken as a follow up to our Level 3 or Level 5 course, but is also available to people who have studied other TEFL courses at the same levels. On successful completion of the course you will be well equipped to start your career as a young learners EFL teacher.

Our online course consists of three mandatory units. Units 1 & 2 have end of unit progress tests, and there is an end of course assignment if you take the course separately from our main course. You get 6-weeks access to the course, but some students complete their qualification within two weeks when studying full time.

Our course is designed to cover all the main aspects of teaching English to young learners from understanding the development of cognitive and learning skills as children grow to planning your lessons and courses.

Our main TEFL course can be studied at two different levels, either Level 3 or Level 5, depending on your own needs and teaching plans. The Level 3 version of our TEFL course is an online-only 120-hour introduction to TEFL. This is a good option if you wish to gain casual work teaching English, such as volunteering, backpacking, or finding work “in-country”, plus some online teaching roles. The Level 5 version of our TEFL course provides an in-depth overview of TEFL and is a good choice if you wish to gain formal employment teaching English, such as the contracted roles on our jobs board, or government teaching programmes, which usually include accommodation, flight reimbursements and help in gaining a work visa. Our Level 5 TEFL course (168 hrs) can be studied in two ways. You have the choice of studying the course completely online, perfect for those who have busy lives, or as a combined course with 10-hours of classroom training, for those who wish to gain some hands-on in-class teaching experience.
