There are many varieties of English. The most widely spoken two are British English and American English. So, what’s the difference?
There are quite a few differences between British And American English, in terms of vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar.
In the EFL classroom you will know which English your students need to learn (depending on their circumstances). This is the variety you will teach.
This is not to say you shouldn’t make your students aware of the major differences between the varieties of English, but these should be taught only if it corresponds to the lesson.
