The Teach India program offers qualified TEFL teachers a once in a lifetime chance to work and live in a country of extreme beauty and incredible heritage.
Join Teach & Learn India and discover why glorious Mumbai is the home of India’s infamous film indistry, discover the legendary Golden Temple in Punjab, discover Kerala’s palm-lined beaches or meet tribal villagers in Tamil Nadu!
Includes 4 month placement with orientation on arrival, all accommodation, monthly living allowance of between Rs. 7,500 – Rs. 10,000, meals, learn Hindi & local in country support.
No previous experience is required so get applying!
- Teach conversation and practical English to young Indian learners with further opportunities for project work
- Gain heaps of international experience in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies
- Learn about the Indian language, culture & way of life!
- Teach English in India from Primary to 12th Grade (3-18 age group)
- Couples and friends are welcome to apply
- Assist students to become more confident in using spoken English
- All placements are with schools in Mumbai, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Chattisgarh and Haryana provinces
- Interns will work with local students teaching English as a Foreign Language
- 5 sessions of 45 minutes per day
- Get 2 hours of Hindi language lessons per week (at Interns’ request, additional local State languages such as Hindu, Punjab, Tamil and Malayalam can be added)
- Low living costs meaning you can get by on your monthly allowance with accommodation and food also provided

- Near native fluency can also be considered but must be minimum IELTS 7.0
- A minimum of a 120-hour TEFL certificate
- To be between 21 – 55 years of age
