DescriptionWe are looking for a lively, creative and fun certified TEFL teacher to teach children, teenagers and young adults in our small and friendly language school situated in the Amazon rainforest town of Tena, Ecuador! Our school has been running for 15 years and classes are generally from 2.30pm • 7.00/8.30pm which means the applicant will have time for themselves in the mornings.
We often organize extra curriculum activities in English for our students including adventures to the rainforest, amazing waterfalls and caves as well as cookery workshops, arts and crafts, music and group games. So if you have lots of artistic energy, are interested in creating fun dynamic lessons this is the job for you. This is a great opportunity to make friends, explore the Amazon Rainforest and brush up on your Spanish.
A native english speaker with basic spanish is preferred. The school owner also teaches part time so weekly hours will be around 15 • 20, however there will be days and weeks when the owner is away, giving you the opportunity for a 25-30 hour week. Classes start in September 2022 and finish in June 2023, ideally we would like someone who can work for those 10 months, although we will consider a 5 month commitment as well. Wage is $8.00 an hour.
