Volounteer Overview
This is more than just an opportunity to teach … it’s about making a lasting impact on the lives of your students, empowering them to shape their futures and contribute to their communities in meaningful ways. You’ll be teaching English, but you’ll also be providing your students with a skill that will unlock a multitude of opportunities.
Teaching placements are in the Dhading District, west of Kathmandu. After being picked up at the airport you will be shown around the area (to help work off the jet lag) before heading out to the village where you will be staying with a homestay family. Living with a homestay family will not only give you a roof over your head and food to eat but it will also be an opportunity to experience Nepal and its culture through the eyes of the locals.
- Volunteer for 5.5 days per week. General school hours are between 9:30 am – 4 pm
- Commit to a 2 - 3 month contract minimum (teachers are encouraged to stay longer)
- Provide up to 5 language classes per day to approximately 15 students per class
- Captivate the minds of your students by developing lessons with the available materials and resources
